What Is Game Theory?

Game theory is applied in a number of different fields ranging from social science to logic and even computer science. The theory revolves around the interactions between decision-makers in any situation and the study of the mathematical models that relate to the situations. The study involves research into how individuals interact in order to achieve their own goals. Game theory in modern-day refers to a vast number of different behavioural relations between parties. It is often referred to as the study of the science of logical decision-making whether referring to computers, animals or humans. While in the past there was always a winner and a loser in any given situation, today that is not necessarily the case.
